Audacity Workshop
It's a long time since I taught anything using Audacity – a simple sound editing piece of software. But these are resources I used a long time ago.
The Audacity website is the place to get a download from. It's totally free.
1 – Basic editing
This used a song called Geek of the Week that I'd downloaded from somewhere in about 2008. I can't find it anywhere on the internet these days. The instructions might have some use though, although they're probably for Windows XP or something...
Exporting from Audacity – I imagine the need to "find lame" has been solved these days
2 – Help sheets
Some slightly more open-ended help sheets that I used to use.
Audacity controls – a single sheet guide
How to reduce filesizes – probably unnecessary these days, but when CiDA portfolios were limited in size this could be important
