WJEC Applied ICT A Level Unit 2 - eSkills

Note: this page applies to the WJEC Applied ICT A level specification. I no longer teach A Level Applied ICT so am unlikely to add to the pages very much. They may well get out of date as well. You might want to bear that in mind!

Part 9 - E-Portfolio

Your work gets presented electronically via an e-portfolio. These get sent to the exam board on a CD to be moderated after we've marked them.

This section is worth 10 marks. You need to produce a functional and modern looking e-portfolio which provides links to all the work you've produced in formats which are suitable for viewing on screen where appropriate (e.g. using PDF documents rather than Word docs perhaps). You also need to link to your spreadsheet and database solutions and provide well written context statements which show what you've done for this unit.

This shouldn't be a major problem, although you need to make sure that you make the e-portfolio suitable for the target audience - i.e. really clear and easy to use.

Note: this markscheme is a copy of one made available freely By WJEC as part of their CPD programme. It is copyright WJEC (probably) and reproduced here simply to make access easier for students. No attempt to claim copyright is being made, although I could have copied the text into my own interpretation...

There might be some limitations on the types of files you can use for this part of the assessment. The markschemes seem to suggest there is but I can't find what they are anywhere - a phone call to the exam board is necessary here I think...

You should probably look at That Blue Square Blog for all the really good other A Level stuff.
