AQA Applied ICT A Level

Note: this page applies to the AQA Applied ICT A level specification. This exam was withdrawn in 2012, with final exams in 2013. The content will be retained as an archive and because it has some stuff that might be quite useful for someone or other

Melted keyboard imageContent in this section is mainly focusing on:

Unit 1 - ICT and Society: Has a complete set of notes from classes and unit 1 exam related information. I try and add any new sets of notes, handouts, homework documents and presentations to this section. The blame lies with the 2012 A Level cohort for being far too numerous. And very lovely they are as well.

Software guides for PagePlus and Dreamweaver are now in place as well.

Unit 3 - Databases: has a full set of notes and markgrids for the unit. It even has an example of two.

The cool Database Query Designer Tool is here as well. It's aim is to reinforce some learning about how database's can be queried to produce useful outputs. It uses an evening class database as it's subject matter, but the ideas can be applied to any database.

Unit 8 - Project Management: has some content too. w00t!

Unit 10 - Advanced Spreadsheets: this has several examples of spreadsheet lunacy on it. Some have been developed for the lovely people at the SLN forum, but even those showcase some of the the advanced spreadsheet skills that come in handy for Unit 10 exams.

The content for these pages have been fully developed now as well. In this case the blame lies with the 2011 cohort.

Unit 14 - Interactive Multimedia: now has the Invisible Button Trick for Flash - a way of making your flash applications much, much cooler. Honest.

You should probably look at That Blue Square Blog for all the really good other A Level stuff.
